Cookies and tracking

We analyse how our services are used in order to optimise them. These analyses are pseudonymised as per Section 15 Subsection 3 TMG as much as possible, i.e. the name and other identifying characteristics are replaced by a neutral label in order to prevent the association of the data with a particular natural person.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies that allow us to analyse your use of our website and online services. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website and online services will be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. We use Google Analytics with the “anonymizeIp()” setting, which ensures that all IP addresses transferred to Google are first truncated and processed on servers located in the EU in order to prevent their association to any individual. Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to the use of our website and the internet to the website operator. Google might disclose this information to third parties if it is legally obliged to do so or if third parties are processing these data on behalf of Google. The IP address transmitted to Google Analytics from your browser will not be associated with any other Google data. You can prevent the installation of the cookie for Google Analytics by way of a setting in your browser software; in this case, you may be unable to use certain functions of our websites fully. Google offers a deactivation option for all commonly used browsers. If you activate this option, no data on your website visit will be transferred to Google Analytics. Activating the option will not prevent the transmission of information to us or other web analytics services we might use. You can find out more about the deactivation option and its activation provided by Google at: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

This website further makes use of Google Analytics reports about demographic characteristics, which use data from targeted advertising provided by Google and visitor data from third parties (e.g. age, gender and interests). These data cannot be associated with any specific individual and can be deactivated in the display ad settings at any time.

Google Conversion Tracking

Our websites also use Google Conversion Tracking, a Google analytics service. Google Adwords stores a cookie on your computer (“conversion cookie”) if you have reached our website via a Google ad. These cookies become invalid after 30 days and are not used for purposes of personal identification. If you visit certain pages on our website and the cookie is still valid, we and Google can see that someone has clicked the ad and was forwarded to our website. Every AdWords customer receives their own cookie. It is impossible to track cookies via the websites of AdWords customers. The information collected by the conversion cookie are used to create conversion statistics for AdWords clients who have chosen conversion tracking. These AdWords clients find out the overall number of users who have clicked their ad and were forwarded to a page that carries a conversion tracking tag. They do not receive any information that would allow them to identify any user. If you do not wish to participate in the tracking process, you can refuse cookies, e.g. by way of a browser setting that deactivates cookie storage. You can also deactivate cookies for conversion tracking by blocking cookies set by the domain “googleadservices.com” in your browser.

If you are visiting our site from a mobile device (e.g. a smartphone or tablet), you can refuse the future use of Google Analytics via this link. When you activate the link, we set a cookie in your browser that tells us to stop using Google Analytics for your device. Please note that you have to activate the link again if you remove the cookies in your browser.

Google Tag Manager

This website uses the Google Tag Manager. This service allows us to manage website tags via a graphical user interface. The Google Tag Manager only implements tags. This means: it does not use cookies nor collect personal data. The Google Tag Manager activates other tags that might collect data. The Google Tag Manager does not access this data. Deactivation of this service on the domain or cookie level, will affect all tracking tags implemented via the Google Tag Manager.
